Date Filters

Almost any report you create require a date filter. Perhaps you have a report that prints last month's numbers. Wouldn't it be nice to have a feature that updates the filter next month so that you don't have to remember to do so each time you run the report. This is exactly the scenario the "Dynamic Date Filter" feature addresses.


  • To use this feature click options from the Designer page .

  • Click Auto Date Period and select Month, Year or any of the other choice.

  • Click Auto Date Period Count, enter a number

You will now see the Auto From Date and Auto To Date expressions populate. As shown in the image, selecting Month and 12 for the period count creates a date formula for the last 12 months. Note the current month is excluded. In the example the current month is September of 2022.
